History

IIC – INDEPENDENT INSURANCE CONSULTANTS LTD (IIC) is an international Company estabilished by Mr. Julien Trillard (JULIEN) in London since 2000.

Mr Franco Schiralli (FRANCO) joined IIC in 2006 and together decided to open a new activity/branch in shipping field creating the MARINE DIVISION.

FRANCO, Managing Partner, spent many years as Technical Manager in CNR – FINCANTIERI repair division in Genoa Shipyards.

In 1972 he created SNS (STUDIO NAVALE SCHIRALLI), independent Company of naval architects, marine egineers, master mariners who intervened worldwide for marine Underwriters and Shipowners.

In 1976 FRANCO became Court surveyor and cooperated with maritime international lawyers and adjusters in important missions and fraude cases too.

In 2006 FRANCO became “sapiteur” of CESAM – PARIS (French Marine Insurance Committee) where he attends important missions.

Our Clients H&M and ENERGY Underwriters, P&I Clubs, Brokers, Shipowners, Energy and Onshore/Offshore Operators, after having utilized our services for many years, induced us to expand our network globally.

FRANCO invested a lot in the worldwide research of reliable and experienced marine surveyors able to intervene in any type of marine, onshore and offshore damages/claims.

This has been done and now we are operating as:

GIMS – GLOBAL INDEPENDENT MARINE SURVEYORS LTD (GIMS) where FRANCO is Managing Director and  JULIEN (IIC) the Managing Partner in charge of French and French African insurance markets development.
